Bio: Pastor Les Stano has served in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) ministry for 52 years, all of which have been in the Southeastern District. He served as Instructor of Religion at Baltimore Lutheran School. He has served parishes in Baltimore, Towson, and Rockville, Maryland, and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. He also served for 20 years as a Chaplain in the VA Medical Center, Baltimore, and as the First Protestant Chaplain at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. His LCMS service has included serving as a Circuit Counselor (Visitor) for 20 years, serving on several occasions as a Pastoral Counselor for the Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML), and serving on the Boards of Directors of Baltimore Lutheran School, the Lutheran Mission Society of Maryland, and Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area.

He retired in 2013 and is currently serving as an intermittent Pastor at Nazareth Lutheran in Hopewell, VA, and as Staff Chaplain at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. VA

Pastor Les became a widower in July 2024 after thirty-plus years of a blessed marriage to his soul mate partner, Carol, who died after a 21/2 year battle with ovarian cancer. He lives in New Kent, VA, near his stepdaughter, Laurie, her husband, Phil, and granddaughter, Kendall.

In addition to his M.Div, he also has an MBA in Church Management.
